Zara has done it once again, folks. They've stolen the brain juice of yet another designer, made it (arguably) better, and this time ended up with a shit ton of floral, plaid, sheer, lacey lingerie inspired goodies for their new fall collection. Can you guess this season's victim?
What about now? I don't know if it was just obvious to me, but I could spot the grungy 90s vibes showcased in Saint Laurent's fall 2013 show right away. I feel like I'm betraying Saint Laurent by liking Zara's latest lookbook as much as I do, but as Leandra of The Man Repeller put it, Zara just makes it too damn easy to support intellectual property theft. Of course having the real deal will always beat any imitation Zara could possibly ever offer, but when the real deal sets you back two grand and all you have to show for it is a flimsy dress, how could you not love Zara? Putting this recurring issue in the world of fast fashion aside though, the best part about Zara jocking Heidi's steeze is that it silences, or at least it should, everyone who has criticized Slimane's work at Saint Laurent since day one. I mean, if this isn't validation that he's doing something right, I don't know what is.
