I came across this trench cum skirt at Zara last Thursday while trying to figure out what the corn to wear to an interview I had this week. It caught my attention, but it wasn’t what I was looking for, until I realized it was exactly what I was looking for. I was sick of trousers, sick of blazers, and it was supposed to be a hot 80 degrees the day of said interview. I could definitely make this work, I thought to myself, and so I picked up an extra small and a small and scurried home.
I slipped on the skirt (it runs pretty large so I went with the XS) over a black button down and… well, there is nothing more glorious than when you try something on you had previously envisioned, and it looks just as good IRL as it did in your head. It was as if it was meant to be, ya know? Not only was the first blouse I tried on perfect, I thought I looked like a chic as shit business woman and felt just as cool... and kind of like my mom, but that's not the point. Or I guess it kinda is. In order to not look like a mother of two, I opted for my Sergio Rossi ankle wrap pumps rather than basic black ones, and decided to keep all my jewelry piled on. Nothing seemed too flashy, and after all, it gave my seemingly plain outfit some personality… or at least I hope it did? Anyway, here are some pics of me being blown away by the wind in the aforementioned outfit.
