#Repost: Stylecaster "The Juliana Salazar Guide to Style"

If you follow me on Instagram you've already seen this, if you don't, sorry for the delay.

This year has been filled of "pinch me is this real" moments, and this feature is no different. It actually might have been the most shocking at sight, but I attribute that mainly to the fact that a "the" was placed in front of my name. I don't know what it is, but the "the" just reads so serious and legit and it made me feel all type of special ways. Thank you Jasmine! Read the full thing here.

As these things go, sometimes not everything makes it to the final cut, or things come off slightly skewed, or there's someone who just has to rain on your parade. This certain someone made an anonymous account just to write "you were not an assistant at Intermix, you were just a temp." I've debated addressing this person, I know how stupid it is to engage them, but I'm a know it all and can't resist correcting people who don't know what they're talking about. I am an Aries, after all.

Intermix Corporate hired me while I was still finishing my last semester in college. I had only one class left and could only work Tuesday-Friday, and yet they brought me on to help their designer and ready-to-wear buyers. It felt amazing to be able to do both things at once, but because they couldn't hire me full-time I was considered a temp by payroll standards... or something. I could go on and on but I'm already bored.

The only thing I would like to add though, in regards to my interview, is that I consider "my start" in the fashion world way to have been way before I landed an internship at Saint Laurent. Although definitely not on the same playing field as Saint Laurent, I  first dabbled in retail. I worked at the local "cool" boutique in highschool and when I went away to college I kept myself entertained as a sales assistant at Intermix. During this time I also started this ol' thang, interned for Saint Laurent, and later freelanced for them during market week, AND THEN finally graduated college. I've gotten a few e-mails asking for advice so I just wanna throw it out there that whatever questions you might have please feel free to ask them! Either comment below or e-mail me :) Sorry for all the words. BYE HATERRRZZZZZZ
